Silicone spatulas – more than just a dough scraper with a handle

In the modern kitchen (whether it's a commercial kitchen, catering business, snack bar or your kitchen at home) a silicone spatula is pretty much an indispensable utensil for your daily work. This kind of long-handled dough scraper can be used for stirring, but more commonly for spreading substances and scraping out every last residue from bowls and other containers.

These silicone scrapers, which can briefly withstand temperatures up to +230°C, consist of a glass fibre reinforced, white plastic handle and a blue silicone scraper (the spatula implement). Needless to say these materials are completely safe for use with food. A practical hole in the handle allows you to hang the spatula on a utensil rack, although it can just as easily be stowed away in a drawer.

These silicone spatulas come in various sizes. Cleaning is incredibly easy either under hot running water or in the dishwasher.
